Leadership

Chuck began serving our church on April 22, 2013. Chuck was raised in White Deer, TX, received a BA from Hardin-Simmons University in 2004, received his Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (SWBTS) in 2007 and Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Leadership from SWBTS in 2020. Chuck has a passion for making disciples and seeing the church move outside its walls and carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the community and the nations. Chuck and his wife Melissa have three children. 

Johnny has been the Worship Pastor here at FBC Buffalo Gap since January 2010. He and his wife, JoNell have been members since February 2007. They have been married for 28 years. Johnny is a bi-vocational staff member. He is a full time Biomedical Equipment Technician at Hendrick Medical Center, where he repairs and maintains medical equipment. Johnny is originally from Breckenridge and JoNell is from Abilene. Johnny has been singing for the Lord for many years. He sang with his family in church since he was about 7 yrs old. He also sang with a trio from Abilene in the 90's and was a former member of the Brazos Boys Quartet.

Joshua joined our team in April 2024.  Joshua has been a member of our church since 2022, and a Deacon since 2023.  He holds a Masters of Theological Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Masters of Science in Criminal Justice from Hardin-Simmons University (HSU).  Joshua currently works as a Detective in the Youth Division with Abilene Police Department, and as an Instructor of Criminal Justice at HSU.

Kathy has been a part of our church since joining in the Spring of 2004, and she has served as Children's Director since the Fall of 2014.  Kathy's passion for encouraging children and showing them the love of Christ drives everything she does.  Kathy also grew up in the area and graduated from Wylie High School.  She has called the Jim Ned Valley home for most of her adult life.  She and her husband Billy have two grown kids, one still at home, and three grand-babies.

Tina and her husband Eddie joined FBC Buffalo Gap in 1995.  Tina joined our staff as Church Secretary/Church Clerk/Financial Secretary in February of 2021.  If you need anything, Tina is your perfect resource.
