One In Christ - Sermon With Worship

In a world constantly drawing lines between people, Galatians 3:28 offers us a revolutionary vision: 'There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male or female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.' This powerful verse confronts the deepest ways we define ourselves and challenges us to reimagine our identity entirely in Christ. The message explores how the gospel doesn't erase our differences but removes the divisions they create. We're reminded that our backgrounds, achievements, and social positions no longer determine our worth before God. Instead, the ground at the foot of the cross is level for everyone. This teaching invites us to wrestle with uncomfortable questions: Who are we naturally avoiding? Who makes us uncomfortable? Who do we quietly think we're better than? The call is clear—if someone is in Christ, they are one with us, whether we feel it or not. The church is meant to be the most unique community in the world, not because we all look alike or think alike, but because Jesus has made us one. Through a powerful table visualization, we're challenged to examine who we welcome and who we wish wouldn't show up. This isn't just about agreeing with a verse; it's about walking in the reality of unity that Christ died to create.
