Cast The Vision

What does it mean to carry a cure you never earned? In 2 Corinthians 5:18-20, Paul lays out one of the most sobering and stirring truths in all of Scripture: every person who has been reconciled to God through Christ has been entrusted with the ministry of reconciliation. Not a select few. Not the professionally trained. All of us. The passage draws a straight line from what God has done for us to what we are now called to do for others. We were the ones infected with the disease of sin, with no hope of finding a cure on our own. Christ came and made a way. And now, rather than quietly going about our days while those around us remain lost, we are called to be ambassadors, to carry that message forward with urgency and love. This message challenges us to examine whether we have quietly handed off our calling to someone else, and invites us back into the full, active life of faith we were always meant to live.
