Help One Another Grow

What does it look like when the Word of Christ truly makes its home among us -- not just in our Sunday gatherings, but woven into every conversation, every relationship, every ordinary moment of our week? Colossians 3:16 presents us with a vision of church life that goes far beyond the sermon. It calls every one of us, regardless of whether we have a formal teaching gift, to carry the truth of Scripture into the lives of those around us. The word 'dwell' is rich with meaning here -- it pictures something that settles in, spreads out, and fills every room. When God's Word truly dwells in us richly, it overflows into how we encourage a struggling friend, how we gently warn someone we love, and how we raise our voices together in worship. This is not a calling reserved for pastors or teachers. It belongs to all of us. The question worth sitting with is this: have we been welcoming the Word only as far as the front door, or are we letting it move freely through every part of our lives?
