5-Day Devotional (5/4/2025-5/10/2025)

Day 1: The Pursuing God
Reading: Acts 9:1-9
Devotional: As we read about Saul's dramatic encounter with Jesus, we're reminded that God is always the initiator in our salvation story. Just as Jesus pursued Saul on the road to Damascus, He pursues us with relentless love. Reflect on your own journey - how has God pursued you? Even in moments when you felt furthest from Him, His grace was at work. Today, rest in the assurance that you are not forgotten or overlooked. God's love for you is active and persistent. How might you open your heart to His pursuit today?

Day 2: Brokenness and Grace
Reading: Psalm 51:1-17
Devotional: Saul's encounter with Jesus brought him face-to-face with his own sinfulness. This moment of brokenness was both terrifying and transformative. Like David in Psalm 51, true repentance begins with acknowledging our need for God's mercy. Consider areas in your life where you need God's grace. Are there sins or struggles you've been hesitant to bring before Him? Remember, it's in our brokenness that God's grace shines brightest. Pray for a humble and contrite heart, knowing that God never despises a broken spirit.

Day 3: Courageous Obedience
Reading: Acts 9:10-19
Devotional: Ananias' story reminds us that God often works through ordinary people who choose to obey. Despite his fears, Ananias followed God's instructions and played a crucial role in Saul's transformation. What is God asking of you today? It might be a small act of kindness, a difficult conversation, or stepping out in faith in a new direction. Remember, our obedience, no matter how small it seems, can be used by God in mighty ways. Pray for the courage to say "yes" to God's leading in your life.

Day 4: No One Beyond Grace
Reading: Romans 5:6-11
Devotional: Saul's conversion is a powerful testament that no one is beyond the reach of God's grace. As Paul later wrote, Christ died for us while we were still sinners. Is there someone in your life you've given up on? A situation that seems hopeless? Today, let Saul's story renew your hope. Pray fervently for those who seem furthest from God. And remember - if God could transform Saul into Paul, imagine what He can do in any life surrendered to Him, including your own.

Day 5: Sharing Your Story
Reading: Acts 26:12-23
Devotional: Years after his conversion, Paul continued to share his testimony boldly. Our personal encounters with Christ are powerful tools for sharing the gospel. You don't need theological training to tell others what God has done in your life. Reflect on your own journey with Christ. What key moments stand out? How has He changed you? Ask God for opportunities to share your story with others today. Your testimony of God's grace could be the very thing someone needs to hear to take a step towards faith.
