5-Day Devotional (7/13/2025-7/19/2025)

Day 1: God's Sovereign Plan
Reading: Acts 13:13-25

Devotional: As we read about Paul's sermon in Pisidian Antioch, we're reminded of God's sovereign direction throughout history. Just as He guided Israel's journey from Egypt to the time of David, He continues to work in our lives today. Reflect on how God has been guiding your own journey. What seemingly random events or coincidences can you now see as part of God's plan? Remember, nothing in your life is happenstance. God is orchestrating all things so that you may encounter Christ. Take comfort in knowing that even in difficult times, you are never outside of God's will or control.

Day 2: The Fulfillment of God's Promises
Reading: Acts 13:26-37

Devotional: Paul emphasizes how Jesus fulfilled God's promises to send a Savior. This reminds us that God is faithful to His word. Think about the promises God has made in Scripture. Which ones bring you the most comfort or hope? How has God shown His faithfulness in your life? As you go through your day, look for ways God is fulfilling His promises to you, whether big or small. Let this strengthen your trust in Him and motivate you to remain faithful in your own commitments.

Day 3: The Power of Christ's Resurrection
Reading: 1 Corinthians 15:12-22

Devotional: The sermon in Acts 13 highlights the crucial importance of Christ's resurrection. It's not just a historical event, but the very foundation of our faith and hope. Meditate on what the resurrection means for you personally. How does it impact your daily life? Your future? Your perspective on death? Let the reality of Christ's victory over death empower you to face your challenges with courage and hope. Remember, because He lives, we too shall live.

Day 4: Freedom Through Forgiveness
Reading: Colossians 1:13-14, Ephesians 1:7-8

Devotional: Paul proclaims that through Jesus, forgiveness of sins is available to all who believe. This forgiveness brings true freedom - freedom from guilt, shame, and the power of sin. Reflect on areas in your life where you might still be carrying guilt or shame. Bring these to God and receive His forgiveness anew. How can you extend this same forgiveness to others who have wronged you? Let the freedom you've received in Christ motivate you to live in a way that honors Him.

Day 5: Responding to God's Grace
Reading: Romans 12:1-2

Devotional: The sermon in Acts concludes with a call for response. God's grace demands a reaction from us. How are you responding to what God has done for you through Christ? Are you resting in Him, proclaiming Him, or perhaps unintentionally denying Him through inaction? Consider practical ways you can offer your life as a "living sacrifice" to God today. This might involve serving others, sharing your faith, or simply aligning your attitudes and actions more closely with Christ's teachings. Remember, our response to God's grace is not about earning His favor, but about living out our gratitude and love for Him.
