5-Day Devotional (5/18/2025-5/24/2025)

Day 1: Breaking Down Prejudice
Reading: Acts 10:1-23

Devotional: Peter's encounter with Cornelius challenges us to examine our own prejudices. Just as Peter had to overcome his bias against Gentiles, we too must confront our preconceptions about others. God's love knows no boundaries of race, culture, or background. Reflect on any prejudices you may hold, even subtle ones. How might these attitudes hinder your ability to share God's love? Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any hidden biases and to give you a heart that sees others as God sees them - worthy of love and salvation.

Day 2: God's Unexpected Paths
Reading: Isaiah 55:8-9, Proverbs 3:5-6

Devotional: Peter's journey to Cornelius' house was far from his expected path. God often leads us in surprising directions, challenging our comfort zones for the sake of His kingdom. Consider a time when God led you somewhere unexpected. How did it stretch your faith? Are you open to God's guidance, even when it doesn't align with your plans? Pray for a willing heart to follow God's leading, trusting that His ways are higher than our own.

Day 3: The Power of Miracles
Reading: Acts 9:32-43

Devotional: The healings of Aeneas and Tabitha demonstrate God's power to transform lives. While physical miracles are profound, the greatest miracle is the transformation of a heart turned towards God. Reflect on the "miracles" you've witnessed in your own life or the lives of others - moments of forgiveness, redemption, or spiritual awakening. How have these strengthened your faith? Thank God for His ongoing work in your life and ask for eyes to see the everyday miracles around you.

Day 4: Crossing Boundaries for the Gospel
Reading: Galatians 3:26-28, Matthew 28:19-20

Devotional: Peter's willingness to enter Cornelius' home symbolizes the breaking down of barriers for the sake of the Gospel. As followers of Christ, we're called to cross cultural, social, and personal boundaries to share God's love. What "boundaries" exist in your life that might be hindering your witness? Ask God for courage to step outside your comfort zone and for opportunities to share His love with someone unexpected today.

Day 5: Hearing God's Voice
Reading: John 10:27-28, 1 Samuel 3:1-10

Devotional: Both Peter and Cornelius heard God's voice guiding them towards a divine appointment. In our noisy world, hearing God's voice requires intentional listening and obedience. How do you create space to hear God's voice in your life? Practice sitting in silence today, asking God to speak to you. Be open to His guidance, whether it comes through Scripture, prayer, or the gentle nudging of the Holy Spirit. Commit to acting on what you hear that aligns with Scripture, trusting that God's voice leads to life-changing encounters.
